Wanders with ducks and pelicans,
And muddy hunting for river treasures.

Try as we might,
Neither impending winter, rain nor blustery skies
Can induce Miro to give up his habit for being in the oranges.
He leaves piles of clothes throughout the day
And has to be constantly re-dressed.
He claims his shirts "hurt" where the labels are,
He is too hot,
Or his pants are wet.
Anything to get that white little body bare and at liberty!

Best day ever with Steve and Oosie,
Between foot raspberries, books and impromptu songs,
And a "C'mon, Get Happy" extravaganza for Goo, complete with
Maracas, tambourines and fancy drumwork.

Miro and Tomas, riding the trike together. One in front, one behind.
After a run up and down the hall, whoever is sitting at the back
Pipes up in a little voice "my turn?"
"Yes," says the other, and they swap, and do it all over again.

The Easter Bunny leaves eggs all through Nanny and Din's garden in the morning...
And holding hands and being all big-brotherly with Ayden in the afternoon.

Harvest Day, for the oranges on our orange tree.
We collect them in black buckets, and prepare to make great jam.
Meanwhile Miro rolls in the dirt like a apples piglet,
Learning petanque, and picnicking on the garden grass.

Bathtime in separate buckets
After a day where Miro raises high hellfire in the shops,
Plays with Bennett and Maddie for hours in Moredin's room,
Refuses dinner, eats chocolates, and teases Goo without mercy!

Miro is ecstatic to be in the petting zoo at the Reptile Park,
Watching snakes and alligators, playing with the old kangaroo,
And cuddling the adorable lambies.

The playground is packed with children on school holidays
So we drift onwards, to the beach, and after, Miro explores
The scrubby dune bush with his increasingly long boy's limbs
And picks yellow beach daisies for Maman.

Miro plays with curtain beads and convinces Bandoo to read him a story
At the cafe before the trip to the airport.
(While Matai is a whirlwind, and throws wiggly tantrums everywhere !)
After, Miro is sad to wave goodbye to his beloved Mamiedou.

Miro has started to use his imagination
And constructs scenes with the toys he finds,
Taking roles and breathing life into them.
Here he plays at the cafe where we eat our lunch
While Bandoo chooses the Kingfish.
And Miro's first drawing of a person, a "petit bonhomme".

Gran and Pierre take us to Scenic World
Where we take the Scenic Railway and the Skytrain.
Miro is more excited than we've ever seen him in his whole life!
He thrills at the rollercoaster railway, shouts with glee at the mechanics
And can't stop his legs from running up ahead wherever we are.
The whole day is a constant stream of Ooh La La La LAs !

And later, when it gets too hot,
Leaps into Uncle Dane's arms
