Miro is SO excited to help decorate Tai's Chuggington birthday cake

He later squeals his way around the lounge room
Driven to hand-waving, free-wheeling excitement by Din's
Remote-controlled, helium-filled Nemo.

He screamed for an hour in the morning not wanting to wear it -
Only to discover Archie was wearing the same top.
It's now the most favoured tee in the wardrobe...)

Every night before bedtime
Papa whisks Miro away in adventures
Under the light of Din's cosmos.

Miro is beside himself with excitement at starting pre-school,
And insists on packing his lunch the night before:
An apple, a carrot, a cheese-and-avocado sandwich,
A yoghurt and a nibbled hot cross bun.
Then in the morning, asks us how many minutes
And wears his backpack from 7:30 in the morning until it's time to go.
But when, at 9am, he finds out Tai is going to Din's for the day
School suddenly isn't as exciting
And his nerves get the better of him: "my tummy is stretching..."
And he won't smile as as we leave.
But after a few minutes with his new teacher Sarah,
The puzzle table and craft galore - just like Mr Maker!
Makes him happy as a clam, and he loves his first day

Miro is so excited
When he discovers that today he is going to the movies
To see the Muppets ("Puppets") with Ayden.
He asks all morning:
"How many minutes?!"
When finally the outing arrives, the boys have a ball
But best of all, Aunty Cat takes him to a toy shop
Where he lovingly chooses a car for Goo and pyjamas for the twins
("They need pyjamas," he insists!)
Later, when they come back home
We find them at the garage.
"What are you doing?" we ask.
"Waiting for the aeroplane," Miro replies,
Heady with his temporary freedom!

Aunty Eylem, chocolate cake,
And Georgie and Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

For Australia Day
We eat Ocean Trout and laming tons
And Miro wants to make
A crocodile he sees on Mr Maker,
Pestering us until we help him make it.
After a while of green painting though,
He's had enough, and leaves Mummy to finish it off.
He walks past her, still painting, fifteen minutes later
And says encouragingly "you're doing a good job!"

Later, all bathed and ready for bed,
They watch Octonauts while Tai fools around
