In the aftermath of eager presents
Where Miro loves opening them as much as playing with them,
Is chased screaming through the house by Angus and Myles masquerading as lions
And Din reads to the boys from a new pirate book.

On Christmas Eve, Miro and Tai
Giggle over their funny hats,
Dole out beloved band-aids,
Put apples out for the reindeer, and a banana out for Santa
(After chocolate is vetoed by Papa!)
And cousin Bennett reads them
Christmas stories until they fall asleep.

When she asks how he is today, he says very coyly: "Nice".
Beforehand, there are stained glass windows to stare at
While eating scones and cream;
And a beautiful Christmas tree to play in front of;
Intricate train sets to exclaim in front of!

The cheeky birds sneak into our house all day long

But when the boys find them, they become dizzily disoriented

By the end he is so good at it, and so diligent,
