Despite having not explained anything until we got there,
As soon as we got to the park that Mummy used to play in as a little girl

Waiting for Mamiedou turns Miro into a crazy ball,
Bouncing against the crowds, screeching joyfully
And almost (twice!) losing his helium balloon.
After an hour, his reward is the newly-christened Pangu

On a day where Melbourne starts to feel the hot dry heat of summer
We walk kilometres across the city,
Stopping only for lunch under shady trees
Where Miro fights his brother for highchair rights
And delivers more impressive Coke tantrums.
Later that night, we eat Japanese as the black night turns balmy
And Miro runs through the lobby, excited for Magnums.
